Milburn £22m Fantasy Football Team Competition 2. Entry Form below - Teams MUST be in by kick-off v Woodcote
Teams Received (*indicates £5 entry) - DavidU, MartinW*, DavidW*, KevinB*, JimmyV*, ChrisJ*, Tony*, Bruno*
The game. (Last year's Final Standings Click here) - As manager, you have a budget of £22m to select a 6-man team consisting of 3 defenders & 3 attackers from the list below. - Each player has a value listed (DO NOT take this personally) and there is a form below to submit your entry. - Each manager must select himself as part of his team (does not apply to non-Milburn players or Milburn players valued less than £1m). - There will be 2 transfer windows during the real season where up to 4 changes will be allowed. - You can bias your budget to defence or attack as long as the total value of your team does not exceed £22m. - New players who join during the season will be available during the transfer window and will attain a 'value' to be adjudged by Jimmy. - Your defence need NOT have a recognised goalkeeper.
Quick Guide to Points Scoring - This season's changes in yellow ... Everyone - Players will only get points relevant to what position they play in a game. i.e. If Binksy plays up front for a game, he will not get defending points for that game ... only attacking points. It follows attackers in your team CAN get defending points this year if they play a game in defence. Positions are judged on a game to game basis but the team you choose NOW must have 3 players from the defender list & 3 players from the attacker list below. (This will remain your team until the transfer window) 1 Appearance point for playing at least 1 half of a game. 2 points for each direct goal assist. 1 point* will be awarded for a half assist (* only in games videoed) 3 points for each goal scored. Minus -3 points for a Penalty miss (not including penalty shoot-outs) minus 3 points for a yellow card, minus 6 points for a red card Man of the Match. 1 point awarded to the MOTM judged by Neil or whoever Captains the team that day. (and lets hope Neil sometimes chooses players NOT in his Fantasy Team) Defenders only - Full game played, defence points awarded... 0 goals conceded = 7 points, 1 goal = 5pts, 2 = 3pts, 3 = 1pt, 4 = 0pt, 5 = minus 1pt, 6 = -2pts, 7 = -3pts, 8 or more = -4pts. Half game only played, defence points awarded... 0 goals conceded = 2pts, 1 = 1pt, 2 = 2pts, 3 = minus 1pt, 4 or more = -2pts
On the Results Page under each match a breakdown of player points for that game is shown. Red boxes show defending points, Green boxes show attacking points (in both cases including appearance points). The example here v Woodcote gives ChrisJ 6 points (1 appearance point plus 5 defending points for 1 goal conceded. DaveH gets 4 points (1 appearance point plus 3 pts for his goal). Note: In League games DaveW nor Neil would not get any points here as they did not complete a half game. MOTM highlighted in yellow gets 1 point

Pre Season Form (including v Monaco points below TBC)
Points Scoring App. pts = Appearance points. 1 pt awarded to each player for playing at least half a game. In friendlies 1 pt is awarded for any appearance.
App. Bonus = Bonus Appearance points. In games where we only have 10 players, 1 bonus point awarded for playing at least 1 half. For games where we field 9 players or less, 2 bonus points awarded for playing at least 1 half.
Def. pts = Defending points. See table below for points awarded to each defender playing a full game - Points can be lost here.
Competitive games. Defenders playing less than 1 half will not be awarded any defending or appearance points. Defenders playing between half and a full game, only get points awarded only for the completed half played and at the reduced tariff (goals conceded during the incomplete half do not count in this case).
Friendlies. Unless stated prior to the game, normal points are available in all friendlies. Due to the roll-on / roll-off nature of these games, any appearance for any time by a player will qualify for at least 1 appearance point. Also all defenders who play any part of the game are subject to the full tariff of 'defending' points, whether they're on the field at the time of conceding or not.
Goals. 3 points awarded to any player for each goal scored. Own goals do not count.
Assists. 2 points are awarded for each direct assist - the last pass by a player to the goal scorer, or the player fouled preceding a direct free-kick/ penalty (unless the same player scores). Any meaningful intervention by an opposing player before the goal scorer scores will nullify an assist. A secondary 1-point assist may be awarded to the player who is adjudged to have played a key part in a goal (only applies to videoed games)
Extra Time. Only goals and assists points available during this time (goals against DO NOT count against the defenders). No points awarded for penalties in penalty shoot-outs.
Cautions. 3pts will be deducted to a player receiving a yellow card. 6pts deducted to a player receiving a red card.
Transfer Window. Probably during the Christmas break and beginning of March. Up to 4 transfers are allowed. - Valuations. A player's valuation may increase during the season before the transfer window is open. A team already holding this player will keep the original lower purchase valuation as part of their budget. In the case of a player's valuation falling, the team holding this player can use the new valuation and use the extra money to strengthen the rest of his/her team. - Player Position (Defender/Attacker). A player's position will be evaluated at the January transfer window time. If a listed defender has played more games in midfield/striker than in defence, at transfer time he will then be classed as an attacker and given a new valuation. The manager holding this player may use a permitted extra transfer to put this player in his attacking line up and get a listed defender to replace him. The same principle applies to an attacker becoming a defender (though a manager faced with both instances will still only be allowed 1 extra transfer). The valuation rules above apply.
League Tables. A separate page showing player points and team standings will be published and updated weekly with the rest of the site.
Entry Fee/ Prizes. Anyone can enter a free team for fun & no prize. A £5 entry option to the real game starting with our first league game will go into a pot with the top 3 in the final standing receiving a cash prize.
